As a continuation of the course, “The Perils of Coding Humans: A Response to Transhumanism” (now available as recordings), V. N. Alexander will deliver bimonthly (twice per month) presentations critiquing the latest claims that Artificial General Intelligence will soon deliver sentient computers, that Brain-Machine Interfaces will enable mind reading, or that biotech can reprogram our genes to cure illness or give us superhuman abilities. We will go beyond the headlines and closely analyze the research methods and findings.
Classes begin in September, Fridays to be announced, likely from 1:00 - 2:00 PM EST and will be held on the first Friday of the month for September, October, November, December 2025.
Students can subscribe to the recorded lectures and attend the live monthly presentation / Q&A or do one or the other separately.
