Hot Topics in Epidemiology Journal Club

Instructor: Dr. Cathy Stein

This course will be offered as one session per month, rolling admission. In this course, we will discuss current papers being published applying epidemiologic concepts. Possible topics include clinical trials on antivirals and other interventions, and observational studies identifying risk factors and longitudinal outcomes. An overview of the paper and critique will be led by Dr. Stein who will facilitate further discussion by the class. For students that feel that a basis in epidemiological study design would be helpful as a background, lectures from IPAK-EDU’s course “How to think like an epidemiologist” will be available on a pay-per-view basis.
