This four-part course examines the Normandy Campaign from its opening airborne assaults through the brutal hedgerow fighting and eventual Allied breakout. Moving beyond the events of June 6, 1944, this series explores how the invasion unfolded over weeks of sustained combat that ultimately led to the collapse of German forces in France.

Through a combination of operational analysis, primary source material, and soldier-level perspectives, students will gain a deeper understanding of how Normandy was fought—and why it mattered.
