Psychology Made as Easy as 1, 2, 3

In this course, renowned psychology professor, Dr. Gregg Henriques, will provide an introduction and overview of psychology, organized by his new and revolutionary “unified theory” of psychology. This course will show why this fascinating field of study relates directly to so much that is important to our lives. As part of his work over the course of three decades, Dr. Henriques has developed a new way to make sense of “the mind” by dividing it up into three domains of: 1) neurocognitive activity; 2) subjective conscious experience; and 3) self-conscious reflection and justification through language. By dividing the mind into these three domains, the confusing field of psychology becomes much easier to understand. Take this course and find out how to learn about the mind in general and your mind in particular!

Course Description

This course will provide a basic overview of the key concepts in psychology, and it will introduce students to major historical figures in psychology and important studies that shaped the field. It will also introduce concepts related to learning, perception, emotion, cognition, and personality and major forms of psychopathology.
